Shooting outdoors in Oklahoma is rarely the best of conditions. It is quite often very hot or very cold and almost always a bit windy! That is why we will do everything we can to keep on the good side of the host of our indoor competitions,
It is not unusual for members children with young impressionable minds to be present at a competition. With this in mind we have decided that wearing apparel should not bear any text or graphics relating to drugs, criminal activities or matters unfit for a family venue and that it should cover more than the average swimsuit. Shoes are also required for safety reasons.
Profanity either loud or soft is possible grounds for disqualification and points will be deducted from the scores of any participant exibiting unsportsman like conduct.
No tolerance for use of alcohol, tabacco or drugs,
No wagering.
As for the rules of competitions, We adhere strictly to the competition regulations set forth by the international rules of the IFA) for POINT competitions. DISTANCE competitions start at 12 meters. Competitors must shoot at least three darts out of a five dart set into the target in order to advance to the next distance in one meter intervals. A total of three attempts are allowed at each distance. Competitors also have the option of sitting out any non-consecutive distance (moving back two meters between attempts rather than one meter at a time.)
MATCH competitions are another story. A match is any contest that is agreeable to two or more members. Safety concerns must be observed but any distance from the target between 15 feet and 33 feet is allowable as well as any number of shots per competition. We only ask that you do not exceed the distance at which you are able to hit the target with all shots and that no one is blindfolded.
